That is where we come in! Without further ado, here is a selection of the best Divinity Original Sin 2 mods in the Steam Workshop. Bard and artificer classesThe bard is the ultimate Marmite class in many RPGs but such musical magic is sorely lacking in Divinity. Fortunately, for those of us who love the pants off a good bard, here is a solution. This Divinity: Original Sin 2 mod adds adds dozens of new skills based on two new character builds:. The former applies status effects, debuffs, and buffs using new equippable lutes.
The latter interacts with items and world objects, duplicating items, buffing allies, and cursing objects (like chests and ladders). Hybrid skills expandedDivinity Original Sin 2 allows you to combine different skill books to create new ones (e.g. Necromancer book plus Hydrosophist book equals Blood Rain book), but the number of combinations are limited to 48, so some combos don’t work.
With, combining any two books gets you a new spell, adding nearly 40 new skills, all of them being the result of previously unworkable book combinations. Tempest classSpears can be a decent weapon but are often not viable. This is because, while they have good range, their damage and stat bonuses are inconsistent.
This Divinity: Original Sin 2 mod adds designed to improve spear weapons, perfect for the wannabe hoplite in all of us. Resurrection skill bookA simple but extremely useful mod which adds a skill book for the spell so you can revive your allies at will. In the base game, allies must be revived using Resurrection scrolls, which are expended upon use – which quickly becomes more irritating than challenging. With this mod installed, going from vendor to vendor to hunt down expensive scrolls is a thing of the past. Weapon Choice V2For the most part, weapons in Divinity are interchangeable stat-sticks – there is no functional difference between a two-handed club and a two-handed axe. Is avast software safe.
This mod by introducing more functional variety between weapons.A sword increases your dodge and movement speed, but an axe does more frequent and meatier critical hits. With this mod, picking between weapons requires you to do more than just compare stat bonuses. Crowley’s SupernaturalsFor those bored with the five base races available, there is this Divinity Original Sin 2 mod that to the game, each with new racial abilities and skills. Fae are ancient elves who grow wings, Nephilim are angelic creatures who cast divine blessings, Source Witches make use of powerful new source skills, Vampires utilise subterfuge and manipulation, and Werewolves well, I think you can guess. JRavens GM ToolkitIf you have ever been frustrated that a model or map from the story campaign isn’t in the GM Mode editor, is for you. It adds hundreds of objects, maps, and NPCs from the main campaign to GM Mode, as well as additional map effects and statuses.
A must-have for any ambitious GameMaster. Crafting overhaulThis is a weighty one. This mod, over 500 new items, entirely new types of items, armours, weapons, and accessories, and even the ability to craft moveable world objects.
That includes new arrows and grenades, armour dyes, potions, food, workbenches we’ll stop there, as we could be here all day. Helaene – Vampire classThis one goes neatly with the Crowley’s Supernaturals mod (you can play a Vampire Vampire!) as it. Something of a blend between scoundrel and necromancer, the vampire class is based around manoeuvrability, life stealing and piercing damage, and also includes flavoursome skills such as summoning bat swarms and walls of corpses. Character Creation PlusThe character creator is not one of Divinity’s strong suits as the customisation options on offer are hardly exhaustive. Thankfully, is here to fix that. It adds loads of faces, beards, hairstyles, and masks that were in the game but not included in the character creator.
You can even give your Godwoken a plague doctor mask, and you should, because plague doctors are awesome. Druid classPolymorph is a fun skill set as it lets you grow wings or spider legs. But, sadly, you cannot fully turn into animals. Here we go then: this Divinity: Original Sin 2 mod that allows the Godwoken to shapeshift into a wide selection of different creatures (21 of them, to be exact), including dragons, djinn and a blob. Sim’s day/night Cycle + dynamic weatherWhile the world of Rivellon is pretty it feels static at times.
Why is it always high-noon in Fort Joy? This mod adds a timer with a to every outdoors location, shaking up the atmosphere with day, night, dusk, and dawn settings. In addition, this mod adds four random weather settings – fog, rain, storm, and sunny. Helaene – Valkyrie classNordic power descends upon Rivellon with the – a winged avenger with a massive new set of skills. The Valkyrie is essentially a warrior cleric, boasting skills similar to the tankier Warfare skills and various healing and buffing skills.
Higher level skills include Ragnarok, which causes a fiery earthquake, and Wrath of Asgard, which rains elements of all kinds upon your enemies.
The world of Rivellon is a living, breathing world that reacts to its inhabitants depending on their actions, and it makes no exception for you.Rivellon is an immersive and beautiful place, jam-packed with mysteries and wonder. Whether you're exploring a dense forest, investigating a wreckage on a sandy beach, or braving a dark, damp and dreary dungeon, there are numerous ways in which you can interact with your environment. Hidden treasure, secret passageways, and more await those who are willing to delve deep.Of course, the characters and communities in Rivellon are where the true meat of the setting's depth lies.

Choices you make in this world actually matter, unlike many other recent RPG titles. Throughout the story, you'll be faced with several decisions, such as sparing or killing enemies, becoming romantically involved with characters, and helping those in need. All of these, and every other decision you make, will positively or negatively impact how those around you feel about you, both your companions and other folks you encounter. These changes have a major impact on the way the story progresses. The game gives you complete freedom to do and go whatever and whenever you want — but be wary, for the game also is never afraid to introduce you to the consequences of your actions. Want to murder an innocent shopkeeper? You are fully able to do so, but nearby guards won't hesitate to draw their blades on you in turn. Think you can haggle with a merchant?
Give it a shot, but don't be surprised when they become annoyed of your lowballing. All of this ultimately helps make Rivellon feel like a real location, one that molds and shapes itself in reaction to your adventure across its vast landscapes. Gameplay: Turn-based combat, modernized. Enemies in Divinity: Original Sin 2 are disposed of via turn-based, tactical combat.Sticking true to the Divinity series' Dungeons & Dragons-inspired mechanics, turn-based combat makes a return to the sequel — and it's better than ever.Using Action Points (AP) that regenerate each turn, both you and enemy forces duke it out on the battlefield. In general, heavier attacks tend to cost more AP and have cooldowns, so spamming the same effective attack each turn is impossible. This forces you to evaluate the abilities of both yourself and your comrades and come up with plans and combinations that will maximize damage done to enemies, while also keeping yourself alive. In many ways, this system is like a game of chess; think two, three, five moves ahead, and you'll find more success against your foes.
Learning the ins-and-outs of the game is challenging at first, but with practice, you'll eventually get the hang of it. That isn't to say that this game ever becomes easy. In fact, it gets exponentially more and more difficult. However, the challenge posed by each new encounter is an absolute joy to experience. In terms of classes, there are a total of 14 different ones to choose from. Each one offers unique benefits on the battlefield, and all of them have abilities that combine well with other classes. Because of this, it's important that you make sure your party is well-rounded; a diverse set of classes gives you the best chance for success in combat.
On top of the class system, there are different species as well. Each one has a unique ability, which may be of help later on.Lastly, the quests in Divinity: Original Sin 2 are entertaining and interesting. While there are some fetch quests, they're few and far between — and everything in the middle is a treat to experience. Breaking someone out of prison, investigating a murder, killing a specific enemy, and finding a food thief are all examples of the types of quests you'll run into. Multiplayer: Join forces and take on custom-made challenges. The cooperative multiplayer allows you to team up with three friends to face Rivellon together.Cooperative multiplayer makes a return appearance in Original Sins 2, except this time, it's vastly improved.
Instead of being limited to two players, you can now band together with three other friends for a total of four players working together at once.In addition, Game Master Mode, a mode in which you can create custom dungeons and other areas, was implemented. This effectively allows you to create an infinite amount of adventures for you and your friends to play. With the Game Master Mode, the only limit to the sheer longevity of Divinity: Original Sin 2 is your own creativity. These can all be downloaded from the Steam Workshop. Art and sound: The epitome of atmosphere enhancement. The visuals, sound design and music of Original Sin 2 increase the immersion tenfold. To say that the music and art in Divinity: Original Sin 2 is excellent would be an understatement.
Both visually and audibly, the game is flawless. In both calm and combat, the beautiful score accompanies you through every step as you traverse the gorgeous world of Rivellon. Conversations with characters feel meaningful and convincing thanks to the stellar voice work, and each attack and ability have their own unique sounds. Performance: A masterfully optimized game — with one blemish. Despite small hiccups in frame rate, Divinity: Original Sin 2 runs excellently. For the most part, the title runs incredibly smoothly, more so than most other new games. However, I did encounter frame rate drops from 80 frames per second (FPS) to about 40 FPS in combat situations where lots of magic was being used and there was a high amount of particle effects on screen.
Aside from this, though, the game runs fantastic. Divinity: Original Sin 2 review: ConclusionDivinity: Original Sin 2 is a polished, well-designed RPG, and through its phenomenal mechanics, astounding art, sound design and fantastic writing, it is sure to revolutionize the modern RPG genre.
While the convenience of Steam Workshop mods auto-updating is nice, I've also had some issues with it where it continues to download mods for games I no longer have installed, so Nexus is nice for a more 'manual control' approach for mods. Also, managing dozens of mods and sharing those mods with friends can be quite cumbersome with the Steam Workshop.Despite all that, I think the Nexus and Workshop can co-exist, since the Nexus is nice for finer control over your mods, and the Workshop works well with a 'subscribe and forget' mentality. Steam Workshop might be convenient, for you. It's not for GOG users.Repacking a mod is as simple as making it into an archive. Also those that detest the very basic nature of the Workshop, and it's forced auto updates constantly breaking carefully created mod setups, for many games Which makes the entire system a pain in the arse, best avoided.Simple fact is, all the Workshop does is download a specific set of files to one folder. A separate Mod Management system is needed, to use them correctly, and if the mods don't use that one folder, they won't work with Workshop.Often those files are restricted to certain prepacked files.ESP, and BSA for Skyrim, and is DOS EE just PAK files? Can't check myself, as the Workshop's currently broken.Nexus is a dedicated Host, and uploading a mod there takes a small effort, making a description.
The Workshop/ReadMe info can be copied. Or a very fancy one created.Regardless, there's plenty of file hosts, like Mega.nz that can be used with just an upload.I'm capable of converting any Workshop mod to a normal mod for any game, and I'm pretty certain I don't need that game on Steam, to do that, but I can't confirm that whilst it's down. Many mod users, aren't as skilled as me, and need the mod repackaged for them.I would urgre you all to consider those not wanting, or not able to use the Workshop. Please upload an archive version somewhere else, and NexusMods is the most user friendly option.Re: D:OS2 on GOG and Steam Workshop content.13/09/17 11:53 AM 13/09/17 11:53 AMJoined: Sep 2016Posts: 393. Due to the sheer convenience and ease of use of Steam, I'll probably publish all of my mods there.
That said, I don't mind if people who enjoy my mods upload them to nexus, as long as they give me due credit. So I (and all other GOG purchasers) will not see them then unless someone else uploads them to Nexus for you.Seems a rather odd way of doing things but they are your mods of course.Re: D:OS2 on GOG and Steam Workshop content.13/09/17 01:12 PM 13/09/17 01:12 PMJoined: May 2017Posts: 304.
